Member Changes: Through the years Utopia had many changes to their lineup. After 1973 Dave Mason, Tony Sales and Hunt Sales left the band. Kevin Ellman (drums and percussion), Mark “Moogy” Klingman (keyboards), Ralph Schuckett (keyboard) and John Siegler (bass and cello) joined the group, and played together until 1975. That year Jean Yves Labet, and Kevin Ellman leave the group, and Roger Powell (keyboards, vocals) and John “Willie” Wilcox (drums, percussion, vocals) came in their place. Before 1976 Mark “Moogy” Klingman and Ralph Schuckett leave the band as well. Kasim Sulton (bass and lead vocals) joins the group to play with them from 1976-1986. Utopia disbanded from 1986-1992. In 1992, the four members continued to play and tour together for the year, then disbanded until 2011. Once Utopia came back in 2011, the lineup was Todd Rundgren, Kasim Sulton, Kevin Ellman, Jesse Gress (guitar), Mark Klingman, Ralph Schuckett, and John Siegler. They toured for that year, and then Mark Klingman passed and Prairie Prince (drums, percussion) took his place. Utpoia continues to tour today.
